Some scrappy love :)

Just wanted to share some layouts I've made the last couple of days now, just before I'm off to NY.

Have you seen the old pictures above..

I found this in a box in the attic.

WOW! Can't believe these pictures are from 1917!!

My grand father obviously had a camera in the very early days, and took alot of very unique, candid shots. Finding all these old pictures, "just like that", made me over the moon happy....and I just needed to create.

This paper from sassafras was a perfect match. :)

Some really good memories.

Yes, I know I have scrapped this picture before....I just love this picture, and can't seem to scrap it too many times....LOL

Calendar

Can't believe it, it is january 18th already.

The days fly by so quickly.

I feel like this year will go by in just a snap...

No, well, better enjoy TODAY, and don't think about how fast it will go by. ;)

Early in january I created this cute little Calendar with My Little Shoebox papers.

Super easy to make.

Just created the large envelope out of a 12x12 inch paper.

Printed the calendar on to cardstock, and cut out each coaster.

Created 12cards out of patterned paper, that would fit inside the envelope.

Made a hole in the envelope, where the calendar coaster could peek out.

Adhered the calendar coasters to the cards, making sure it would fit inside the "envelope-window".

voila!

A cute calendar to have by the phone, or on the fridge door, in the office.... or wherever you need a calendar.

Today wanted to share a little reuse project I have made.

I have this large pile of old blue jeans. I have had plans on using them forever. And the day before Edvins birthday I decided I wanted to give his room a little makeover.

I purchased a new cover for his bed at Home and Cottage, wich inspired me to dig in to the pile of jeans and make a new pillow-cover as well. :)

It made me happy to use my sewing machine for sewing fabric ( not just paper :P ) and what made me even more happy: Edvin was SO happy when he came home and discovered the little makeover in his room.

This pillow was made out of one of his favorite jeans that are too small now ...

a great way to reuse the favorite jeans.

Sol and Eirun was busy all yesterday night and today after school making a birthday cake for you. SO cute :)

Music is a large part of your life - you love music, and play in ceveral different bands. Today was no exception, and now you are off to the symphonic band( with two large chocolate cakes for your friends).

winter days

Hi my friends, and once again Happy New year.

Hope the first week of 2011 have been good for you all.

I feel like 2011 will be a good year.

I have started building a new kitchen in my house - old walls are torn down, sun and daylight will fill my new kitchen.

But it is a long walk to get there...

Here are a couple of scrapbooking projects I have been playing around with the last days.

Winter is here, and we enjoy the short, but beautiful winterdays. ...and my winter pictures need to be scrapped as well.

Had so much fun creating this layout ( above )

Used lots of cracle-paint ( white and "old paper") and glimmer mists and gltter glue on this ( it doesent show very well in the picture tho....)

On this layout I painted a rusty snowflake with white cracle paint - it made it look so cool and kind of frozen. :)
