10 years!!

10 years ago today I married

my wonderful, amazing, lovely, dear, warm, funny, creative, darling, caring, handy superhero.

Can't believe time have flown by so quickly.

Butterflies and paint

Hi my friends

and welcome to this weeks inspiration monday (on tuesday ;) LOL)

I have been busy playing with my shimmering acrylic paint and the beautiful butterfly stamp-set "colorful companions" by my Stamp BOX.

So while I'm waiting for summer, looking out on the snow (yes, more snow today :-/ ) I had so much fun doing this little project.

Hope to make you feel inspired to grab your stamps and acrylic paint too :)

For this LO I used a round scallop-edged eggshell colored cardstock.

shimmering acrylic paint by PeBeo

Alphabet stickers by sassafras
My tattered angels glimmermist "golden terracotta" and Tiger lily"
hole punch
black pen

I grabbed my stamps and my acrylic paint.
Used a sponge to add paint to my stamp.
I started out stamping the image several times on the cardstock, using my shimmering orange paint.
I used different butterfy images, and used some red shimmering paint along with the orange on some of them.
This will make the back ground pattern for my layout.

After I finished stamping all my butterflies I pulled out the glimmermist. I opened the bottle and "splashed" drops of glimmermist on to the cardstock with the back of the spritzer.

I used my Tiger Lily" and "golden terracotta" mists for this to add different drops of color.

Let the cardstock dry

While the cardstock with paint and glimmermist dried I wanted to cut out two circles of patterned paper. I used 3ndypapir "på vingene" for my circles.

drawed around a medium sized plate to make a perfect circle.

Cut out two circles using my scissor.

Now it is time to add the picture and the circles to the cardstock.

Added Buttons and the Sassafras letters for my title.

Now I wanted to punch holes all along the beautiful scalloped edge of the layout.

I used my crop-a-dile for this, but you can use any hole-punch.

Added a tiny black border along the scalloped edge and journaling with my favourite black pen.

Voila!

Cosmo Cricket & Unity stamps

Hi.

Today is a wonderful day. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and COSMO CRICKET has teamed up with Unity Stamps and made the CUTEST stamps!!

Summer memories

It was a really rainy gray day here in Oslo today. A perfect day for crafting.

So I decided to pull out some happy summer-memories from last summer.

And inspired by this weeks color-combo over at The Color Room I created this summer layout.

Used a lot of Prima stuff and some K&comp flowers along with my favorite thickers. :)

I have been creating A LOT lately. I attended the online spring Crop over at Cocoa Daisy this weekend - it was SO much fun! Will upload and share all my LOs later.

flower inspiration

Hi my friends. Hope you are all fine.

Finally spring starts to settle for real here and flowers peek up everywhere.

I SO love this time of year! :)

I LOVE flowers, they always seems to make me happy. And after my post on how to made the bouquet I showed at the Hellerud scrapbooking and rubberstamp show Iwas SO, SO inspired by Wenche and her BEAUTIFUL flowers and by the flower challenge on the cocoa Daisy spring crop, to make this little spring bouquet.

My bouquet is pretty simple - most of the work is folding all the parts of the flowers.

I have made this little tutorial on how I made the flowers using my beautiful, colorful My Little Shoebox paper. This papers are perfect for flower-folding. Heavy, doublesided paper. I used hot glue to make sure the flowers don't fall apart.

So, let's just get started on the flower-folding.

For this project you'll need doublesided patterned paper. I used My Little Shoebox, but you can use 3ndypapir, CosmoCricket or any of your favourite heavy Weight doublesided patterned paper.

You'll also need hot glue, metal wire, oasis (green foam to use for flower-decorations) a little flower-pot or vase, scissor and paper-trimmer.

1. I started with 5 equaly sized 2x2inch squares.

2. fold the square in half

3. fold the corners of the triangle up to the top. The triangle ill now have a square shape.

4. fold the upper corners outwards.

5. open up the flaps and flatten, like this:

6. fold down the upper edge of each flap and fold the flap back in half.

7. fold 5 equal pieces

8. glue the folded triangles together.

9. you now have one petal of your flower. Do the same to all the 5 parts of the flower.

10. glue all the petals together. Now the flower is ready.

Make as many flowers as you like in your fvourite colors.

Mine are all in spring-colors. :)

11. attach the metal wire (stem) to the back of your flower using the hot glue.

When all the flowers have stems, grab the oasis and make it fit in to the vase you have chosen for this project. I used a little silver-vase.

Add the flowers and arrange them as you wish. Add green leaves to cover the top of the oasis and little stripes of green paper to make spirals like in this project.

And because these flowers are not in need of sunlight or water this is a perfect decoration for the dark corners of your house that needs to be brightened up a bit. ;)
