Cosmo Cricket & Unity stamps

Hi.

Today is a wonderful day. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and COSMO CRICKET has teamed up with Unity Stamps and made the CUTEST stamps!!

This "homemade just for you" - stamp is PERFECT for a homemade glass of strawberry jam. Who can resist this treat? LOL

Summer memories

It was a really rainy gray day here in Oslo today. A perfect day for crafting.

So I decided to pull out some happy summer-memories from last summer.

And inspired by this weeks color-combo over at The Color Room I created this summer layout.

Used a lot of Prima stuff and some K&comp flowers along with my favorite thickers. :)

I have been creating A LOT lately. I attended the online spring Crop over at Cocoa Daisy this weekend - it was SO much fun! Will upload and share all my LOs later.

flower inspiration

Hi my friends. Hope you are all fine.

Finally spring starts to settle for real here and flowers peek up everywhere.

I SO love this time of year! :)

I LOVE flowers, they always seems to make me happy. And after my post on how to made the bouquet I showed at the Hellerud scrapbooking and rubberstamp show Iwas SO, SO inspired by Wenche and her BEAUTIFUL flowers and by the flower challenge on the cocoa Daisy spring crop, to make this little spring bouquet.

My bouquet is pretty simple - most of the work is folding all the parts of the flowers.

I have made this little tutorial on how I made the flowers using my beautiful, colorful My Little Shoebox paper. This papers are perfect for flower-folding. Heavy, doublesided paper. I used hot glue to make sure the flowers don't fall apart.

So, let's just get started on the flower-folding.

For this project you'll need doublesided patterned paper. I used My Little Shoebox, but you can use 3ndypapir, CosmoCricket or any of your favourite heavy Weight doublesided patterned paper.

You'll also need hot glue, metal wire, oasis (green foam to use for flower-decorations) a little flower-pot or vase, scissor and paper-trimmer.

1. I started with 5 equaly sized 2x2inch squares.

2. fold the square in half

3. fold the corners of the triangle up to the top. The triangle ill now have a square shape.

4. fold the upper corners outwards.

5. open up the flaps and flatten, like this:

6. fold down the upper edge of each flap and fold the flap back in half.

7. fold 5 equal pieces

8. glue the folded triangles together.

9. you now have one petal of your flower. Do the same to all the 5 parts of the flower.

10. glue all the petals together. Now the flower is ready.

Make as many flowers as you like in your fvourite colors.

Mine are all in spring-colors. :)

11. attach the metal wire (stem) to the back of your flower using the hot glue.

When all the flowers have stems, grab the oasis and make it fit in to the vase you have chosen for this project. I used a little silver-vase.

Add the flowers and arrange them as you wish. Add green leaves to cover the top of the oasis and little stripes of green paper to make spirals like in this project.

And because these flowers are not in need of sunlight or water this is a perfect decoration for the dark corners of your house that needs to be brightened up a bit. ;)

It's snowing again...

Yes, it is true - this morning I woke up to SNOWy weather here in oslo :(

Oh, I was SO sure spring had come to stay now... but...I was wrong...The winter still try to hold on ..

So It has been freezing cold and a day for wearing woolen pullovers and being inside creating. :)

I created THIS LO for this weeks color-combo over at The Color Room, a brand new Ning-community.

The title of the LO is from one of my favourite song Lyrics, a jazz song, sung by several different artists. This song often strikes my mind, especially when My DH travels alot.

SorrY - NO inspiration Monday this week. I was so busy getting everything ready for scraporama before the weekend - and on monday I was totally exhauseted after the busy weekend. please forgive me.

Glimpses from the weekend at Scraporama

This weekend I attended the large scrapbooking and rubberstamp event / exhibition Scraporama. I had a little boot with 3ndypapir, and t was SO good to meet all my entusiastic, wonderful friends, fans and fellow paperlovers. :) :)

Here are a few pictures from my boot at the show. I made this boquet of paperflowers inspired by the wonderful, talented Natasja Verbeek. You cen find a great tutorial on how to make flowers like these on her blog, Vintage Tearooms.

Inspiration monday :)

Hi my friends, and happy monday. :)

It is beautiful spring in Oslo today. The sun is shining and the spring-flowers have started to peek out :)

I was so inspired by the spring-weather I just had to create some flowers for todays Inspiration Monday. :)

These flowers are not only cute as embellishments for papercrafts, but can be used as bookmarks for your favourite books too :)

They are made of patterned paper by 3ndypapir, felt, fabric and paperclips.

Cut strips of patterned paper, aprx 1 inch X 12 inch.

Fold the strip as a accordion.

Punch two 1 1/2 inch circles of patterned paper.

Add hot glue to one of the circles and add the accordion-folded paper-strip as a circle on top.

This is now the base of your flower.

:)

Cut out a circle of colorful fabric.

Cut out a slightly bit larger circle of heavy woolen felt.

sew a button on top of the fabric and felt circles.

Attach the felt and fabric circles to the center of the paper flower with hot glue.

Grab the other 1 1/2 inch patterned paper-circle and the large paper clip.

Add Hot glue to the paper-circle and attach the paperclip, and add the paper-flower on top.

VOILA!

The flowery bookmark is ready for your favourite book. :)
