I'm SO, SO happy to welcome Monique!
Here is what she says about herself:
Hi, I’m Monique Liedtke and I live in Delft in The Netherlands with my husband Patrick and our 3 kids: Manon 13, Timothy 10 and Mats 5. We have a super sweet Cocker Spaniel named Jippie, a rabbit and a goldfish. I find inspiration in almost everything: my kids, photos, nature, magazines, other scrappers, music, books, etc. I’ve been (addicted to) scrapbooking for 7 years now and can’t imagine my life without it!! My favorite techniques are stamping and sewing on my pages.
welcome to mSB Monique.
Make sure you visit her blog too
:)

Now hop on over to
Ellen Sosnoski to see her card and who she'll welcome to the team :)

wednesday inspiration :)

WOW! Wednesday already??!!??
And february!! Can't believe it!
Time just flew by too fast.
Anyhow - we'll play no matter what day it is :)
Hope you enjoy this weeks little tutorial.

This week I'll show you how to make a cool frame out of the pages from an old phonebook. :)
Here in Norway we are lucky to have these cute pink pages (along with plain white and yellow) in the phone-book.
I used one pink page for this project (so I guess my hubby won't even notice.... LOL )

What I needed for this project:
1 phonebook page cut in tiny stripes
1 cardstock 12x12 inch (Bazzill white)
patterned paper: "material girl" by Cosmo Cricket (I used "borders" and "elements")
stamps: my Stamp BOX "funky flowers"
chipboard letters: Cosmo Cricket
sewing machine
double sided tape

Cut your phonebook-page in tiny stripes. aprx 1 centimeter.
Add doublesided tape along the edge of your white cardstock.
add the stripes of phonebook-paper, little by little on top of the tape. Fold while you put the paper on to the tape. Don't worry if it doesen't get straight, or if it get messy. Just tear away the "mess" and start with a new stripe. :)
When you have added the folded paperborder all along the edges, machinestitch on top of the paperborder. I stitched in the middle of the stripes. Love how the edges comes up and gives the frame dimension. :)
Added pieces of patterned paper as a background for my photo.
Stamped a little barcode under all the pieces of paper, and stamped flowers on to other pieces of patterned paper.

Added the photo and title on top of my collage of patterned paper, and machine stitched along the edges of the photo.
Cut out the stamped flowers and added them randomly around the LO with a brad in the middle.

ta-daa!

Thanks for popping by and joining me on this "Inspiration Monday" on a wednesday :)

NOTE: This LO was actually made for this weeks challenge over at Lotus Paperie. Go check it out for more inspiration!!
:)

Have a great week.

mSB bloghop and WELCOME Liz Jacob

Welcome to the mSB bloghop to introduce you to our new design team members, all so talented, wonderful ladies.
I am the lucky one to introduce you to Liz Jacob. WELCOME to the "neighborhood" Liz!! I'm so honored and happy to have you as "my guest" and to welcome you to the mSB team here on my blog.
Make sure you all visit Liz' wonderful, inspiring blog too. :)
Here is what Liz have to say about herself:
"My name is Liz Jacob and I currently live in Hamburg, Germany. I am the mother of two girls (aka Trouble #1 and #2) and a big ole' puppy named Rajah. I am too close to 40 to be happy about it, because half the time I feel like I am just a kid. By profession I am a tax attorney, and I started scrapping and stamping as a creative outlet from my boring grown-up life. After all, too much creativity in tax accounting seems to be frowned upon. Usually I sort of scrap "from the gut". It's a process... and the finished project hardly ever looks like I envisioned it in the beginning. I draw most of my inspiration from colors, whether I find a particular paper that I want to use or certain colors in the pictures. I love mixing and matching all kinds of colors and patterns. Other than that, I am obsessed with shoes and baking.

Cupcakes anyone? "

mSB-blogHOP

If you've just happened upon on my blog today, you'll want to see what the myStamp BOX Blog Hop, this National Scrapbooking Day, is all about; check out the myStamp BOX blog at 5 pm EST, to start on this fun journey and a chance to win some fun new stamps! And post a link back to the mSB blog. And make sure to post a comment here on my blog too :) :)

I can tell you, this time, the awesome mSB design-team decided to share some of their sketches with you. So here is my sketch. I've used it for fast and simple bithday-cards.

Spring is time for lots and lots of birtdays in our family, and everybody loves to recieve a handmade card. So my solution has been to make a sketch based on the cool and versatile set "Happy Word Jumble" and use the words as a "centerpiece" on my card. here are two cards I made using my sketch in two different ways (and as inspiration. )

If you are one of those happy blog-hoppers this is the last blog on the journey, and next you are up to is to go straight back to the my Stamp BOX-blog.

Hope you've had a fun journey with us today.

Happy national Scrapbooking day!
