Summer

Hi my friends.

Long time no see - but finally I'm back home for a couple of days.

Strange how busy things can get when it is time for vacation - and all you want to do is to relax....

I have had a WONDERFUL summer so far - filled with sun, sea, friends, delicious food, time to relax, visits from friends and family, lazy days, days at the beach.... yes, all I really want from a summer vacation.

This last layout was created for this weeks blogpost over at Cosmo Cricket. This saturday we've teamed up with ThermoWeb, and I had so much fun creating this layout. I used the super strong Double sided tape and the Dots for this layout.This is all for now.

I feel happy...

My mother have made this beautiful silver necklace for me - and I got it yesterday.

Some of you might know how much work it is to make a necklace like this. She actually made all the little silver rings and bound it all together to create this heavy, beautiful chain.

I can't believe how much time and love she really put into this.

Thank you mom!! You are the best.

Summer projects

Hi my friends.

First week of summer break here in Oslo. The weather is wonderful, the sun is shining and the kids love the carefree days.

I have made some summer projects with the wonderful summery fresh DeLovely papers by Cosmo Cricket.

Used some Helmar 3D squares to pop-dot all the pp-panels on this layout. Used some old glass pebbels and "raindrops" to add a more summery feel. :)

I actually made this bag for my mother on mothers day. I think she have used the bag almost every day after she got it. She proudly shows the pictures of her grand-children wherever she goes - and that makes me totally happy :) :)

I made the "picture-quilt" using a 12x12 inch page protector. I machine stitched all the squares and then stitched the protector to the bag.

On another note I'm SO happy and delighted to find one of my layouts in this issue of Creating Keepsakes in the "teen" section. I'm all smiles! :) :) :)

I created three different projects for this bloghop.

One really summery layout with stamped background.

Shool is out tomorrow here in Norway, and we are all looking forward to summer vacation.

And what better idea than giving the teachers we love a little sweet present for the summer. Simple folded cards with yummy heartshaped chocolate inside. :)

Nothing can make me happier than seeing my kids happy together.

I'm so lucky to have these 4 little persons in my household - they bring me so much joy. Just needed to put it down on a layout :)

I'll look at this layout and make sure I never forget the happy little faces and all the love they share .

Hi my friends.

I'm back with a really summery, bold, fun color-combo made for my blogpost over at my Stamp BOX the other day.

I'm really in love with bright fun colors lately....and I made three projects using the green-red-blue-yellow-combo.

Suits perfectly with Cosmo Cricket patterned papers and the super-fun stamps by my Stamp BOX. :)

This layouts shows my little girl singing and dancing with her classmates in the garden at pre-school.

Hi my friends.

Long time no see... :)

I have enjoyed the nice summer weather here in Oslo this week. It has been busy, busy days with lots of stuff going on before school is out for summer next week.

Guess some of you have noticed my "Inspiration mondays" have already taken a summer break. Hopfully I'll continue this project in august when kids are back in school. But for now I'll enjoy the garden, the outdoor, the sun, the summer....

But no worries, i have no plans on shutting down my blog for the summer....LOL

I created the layout above for this weeks Color combo over at The Color Room. LOVE this weeks colors and the sketch. :)

Handmade

Yes, as most of you, my friends, probabbly know already, I LOVE to make stuff. And what can make me happier than seeing my little girls love to make stuff too. :D

Pictures on this layout shows Sol with her handmade "sitting-mat". She is so proud, she felted and sewed it all by her self. Just too cute :)

This layout was inspired by last weeks color combo over at The Color Room. :)

Alot of hand-stetiched elements on this layout.

Wonderful Ukraine

An amazing adventure trough culture, music and beautiful art.

Kind, warm-hearted people, delicious food and a country filled with beauty made our trip to Kiev and Odessa unforgettable.

Early Tomorrow I'm off to Ukraine :) and I tell you I'm SO excited!!

This is a tour with Oslo Symphonic orchestra

- so we'll have two conserts in Kiev and Odessa.

Did I tell you I'm over the moon excited.....LOL

Will be back mid next week.

This is actually a birthday-card for Eiriks Nephew. I made a little pocket inside with room for some money as b-day gift.

One little layout

Made this LO for the challenge #5 over at The Color room.

I really enjoy these color challenges :)

It has been a busy busy day around the house. Getting ready for the weekend and for the upcoming Norwegian national day on may 17th.

Butterflies and paint

Hi my friends

and welcome to this weeks inspiration monday (on tuesday ;) LOL)

I have been busy playing with my shimmering acrylic paint and the beautiful butterfly stamp-set "colorful companions" by my Stamp BOX.

So while I'm waiting for summer, looking out on the snow (yes, more snow today :-/ ) I had so much fun doing this little project.

Hope to make you feel inspired to grab your stamps and acrylic paint too :)

For this LO I used a round scallop-edged eggshell colored cardstock.
Butterfly stamps by my Stamp BOX
patterned paper "på vingene" by 3ndypapir
shimmering acrylic paint by PeBeo
buttons
Alphabet stickers by sassafras
My tattered angels glimmermist "golden terracotta" and Tiger lily"
hole punch
black pen

I grabbed my stamps and my acrylic paint.
Used a sponge to add paint to my stamp.
I started out stamping the image several times on the cardstock, using my shimmering orange paint.
I used different butterfy images, and used some red shimmering paint along with the orange on some of them.
This will make the back ground pattern for my layout.

After I finished stamping all my butterflies I pulled out the glimmermist. I opened the bottle and "splashed" drops of glimmermist on to the cardstock with the back of the spritzer.

I used my Tiger Lily" and "golden terracotta" mists for this to add different drops of color.

Let the cardstock dry

While the cardstock with paint and glimmermist dried I wanted to cut out two circles of patterned paper. I used 3ndypapir "på vingene" for my circles.

drawed around a medium sized plate to make a perfect circle.

Cut out two circles using my scissor.

Now it is time to add the picture and the circles to the cardstock.

Added Buttons and the Sassafras letters for my title.

Now I wanted to punch holes all along the beautiful scalloped edge of the layout.

I used my crop-a-dile for this, but you can use any hole-punch.

Added a tiny black border along the scalloped edge and journaling with my favourite black pen.

Voila!
